You don't need to wash your clothes after each use, sometimes it is enough to air them by hanging them outside or in the winter over the heater. That saves you time and protects our climate.
The temperature indicated on the care label is NOT the recommended washing temperature, but the maximum washing temperature. Washing at a lower temperature will extend the life of your clothing and save energy.
We therefore recommend washing at 30 degrees and without fabric softener, which destroys stretch fibers and breathability of the material.
Extend the life of your clothing
Many sensitive fabrics, such as outdoor and water repellent materials, should be air dried rather than in the dryer. That also protects the environment.
Give your leggings a break from washing every other week. This stops it from wearing out and allows the elastane to dry all the way through. That way they will fit snug for longer.
Put on different leggings and sports bras for different activities and wear them alternately. This sounds like a costly investment at first but pays off in the end.
Tips & Tricks
Turn your laundry inside out and close zippers to avoid pilling and holes.
Especially for your favourite white pieces use bi-carbonate soda for a toxic free cleaner and softener. Either soak clothing before washing or add directly to your load and choose the pre-wash option.
Use wash bags, which protect fibers. For fleece and synthetic clothing, the GUPPYFRIEND can stop microplastic waste. It reduces fiber breakage and protects your clothing.
